Fuga

Kagomom and I had chatted with skype tonight as usual. I figured out something interesting with Spanish when we were talking about "MAGI," a Japanese Anime, which Ryusei was watching the other day.

Kagomom: Do you know what does the meaning "Vamos a fugar!" is?
Saki: You mean "Vamos a jugar!"??
Kagomom: Nope, it spells f・u・g・a・r.
Saki: Fugar? I think I have never heard of that.
Kagomom: Oh....
Saki: (After thinking a bit) Wait! Fuga!!
Saki: Was this used in the scene that characters are chasing or something?
Kagomom: Yeah! Something like that!
Saki: "Vamos a fugar!" means "Let's run away!" then!!!
Kagomom: Wow! How did you know that?
Saki: Fuga, a term of classical music, is a way to play chase.
Saki: I guessed that "fugar" might have a meaning close to chasing.

おもしてかぁー!! I was happy to to discover this!!
